Directory of Directories

Directory of Directories

Full Description

In service since 2008, the Directory of Directories begins its categorization of directories with its top-level categories, General Directories and Niche Directories.

Its General Directories category is subdivided into subcategories for free, paid and reciprocal directories.

Niche Directories is subdivided into a number of topical subcategories, including those for business, computer, entertainment, health, home and garden, Internet, kids and teens, news and media, recreation and sport, reference, regional, science and technology, shopping, and society directory lists.

Regular and advanced search fields are available, and special pages are created for recent listings, the most visited sites, most rated sites, and those with the fastest approval.

Directories may be submitted to the Directory of Directories without charge, if a reciprocal link is included. Upon payment of a one-time fee of £1.95 for its express listing, I don’t believe that a reciprocal link is required, but it is still requested on the submission form. The directory’s submission options state that an express listing includes deep links, but I don’t see a field to enter deep links on the submission form when I choose that option.

Featured listings will appear on the directory’s home page randomly, for a one-time charge of £9.95. For £49.95, a sponsored listing will be permanently displayed on the directory’s home page, as well as in the category, of course.

Bulk submission options are also available. Advertising options are also available, but the directory administrators will need to be contacted, via an included form, for details about advertising possibilities and rates.
